Meaning:

Pallavi: 

When the nectarine drink of singing the praise of Kandan (Lord Murugan) is readily available why, Oh mind, do you desire for other drinks?

Anupallavi:

With the grace of the noble lord this nectarine song obtained as the cream from the pot of all the rAgams is readily available to us.

CaraNam: 

With nectarine diction woven with superior melody and rhythm, incorporating the nine emotions this song, composed by Kavi KunjaradAsan will come out well due to the grace of spear-wielding effulgent lord (Murugan).

Note: The composer incorporates the name of the rAgam (jyOtiswarUpiNi) in this song by mentioning the effulgence of lord Murugan in the caraNam. He also incorporates his signature (kavi kunjaradAsan) in every song.  MuttuswAmi dIkshithar did the same way earlier.
